Let's Leaf it at That: Nailed It!

After a couple of mediocre nail design in the past weeks, this is my favorite that I've done in a very long time.

This week is gonna be awesome. Cool nails and Thanksgiving! Yay!

CareBears: Nailed It!

I had a nail-fail this week. I was feeling really annoyed so I got out the good 'ole acetone and played it a bit simple with this CareBear inspired French Manicure.

The hearts are done by hand and are actually quite easy. You can use a dotting tool, or you can be resourceful like me and use the tip of a bobby pin.

Solid Gold: Nailed It.

Love this new one I have this week.

The gold is OPI. The pink is Kiss Nail Artist Paint in Bikini Pink.

Halloween: Nailed It! Part 8

These are definitely my favorite Halloween nails so far. The white is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails White out and the webs are done with black Sharpie Marker.

These are a bloody mess and kinda remind me of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love them.

You could do these "bats in the moon" nails for Halloween or for a Batman party- whatevs.

Halloween: Nailed It! Part 4

If you're going for an old attic/ scary haunted house look these crackle nails are great for Halloween. I just used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Black and Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Snow Blast. The nail color does the work for you!

Halloween: Nailed It! Part 3

Candy Corn nails are all the rage and quite easy. Start with the yellow and paint the entire nail. Next use an orange or a semi translucent red and paint half the nail. Finish with an opaque white at the tops and voila!

This Frankenstein inspired manicure is so easy and you can use any colors you want. I used a sharpie marker for the stitching, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Mint Sorbet, White Out and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Commander in Chic.

Halloween: Nailed It! Part 1

So it's no secret that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. (Much to the chagrin of those nuns that tried to educate me for four years of Catholic School.)

Anyways, I've decided to do a bunch of Halloween themed nails over the next few weeks until the big night!

Here's the first of several Halloween themed Nailed Its!

This is the same design I did last year for the holiday. I used a white base Sally Hansen Hard as Nails and a black Sharpie marker for the face.

Falling For It: Nailed It!

These are my favorite fall colors put together on my nails.

Worn: Cat's Meow

So I have these pajamas. Pretty sexy, right?

I never wear them, but I really love the comfy flannel fabric, not to mention the pattern. Did I mention the pattern? Cats.

That's right there are cats on these PJs. And they're pink!

So I decided that maybe it wouldn't be totally crazy if I just made those PJs into a skirt.

With some cuts and stitching...

Here's the finished result. I really like the way it turned out.

So I'll just jump on the Missoni bandwagon here...

Since I couldn't and didn't get anything from Target's collection, I figured I can at least deck my nails out in Missoni. The only consolation is that I already have two Missoni scarves that I bought a few years ago at Lohman's or something. I love those scarves.

Oh, and just a suggestion- if you're going to try this one it's a good idea to find a Konad or Bundle Monster plate design rather than trying the design by hand. My left hand did a real number on my right hand's nails!

Tiago and I went to Denver again this Labor Day. We ventured last year as well, to see our good friends Natalie and Kevin (plus their amazing kiddo and doggie).
